DTMB | State Breaks Ground on New, State-of-the-Art Public Health and Environmental Science Laboratory

LANSING, Mich. – The state officially broke ground today on a new, state-of-the-art public health and environmental science laboratory to be constructed at the State Secondary Complex in Dimondale. The new 300,000-square-foot facility will house consolidated lab space for the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services (MDHHS); the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE); and the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO).

DTMB | Michigan Unemployment Rate Remains Stable in March

LANSING, Mich. – Michigan’s seasonally adjusted jobless rate was constant at 3.9 percent between February and March, according to data released today by the Michigan Center for Data and Analytics. Employment advanced by 8,000, while unemployment fell by 3,000, resulting in a statewide labor force increase of 5,000 over the month.
