The Lansing Board of Water & Light (BWL) will begin demolition on four structures at the Eckert Power Station site this week. The Eckert stacks, known fondly in the community as Wynken, Blynken, and Nod, will not be impacted.
Demolition will include the water cooling towers, east and west coal handling structures, and the ash silo structure and is scheduled to continue through early 2023. See attached site map.
