5cf030254b19d_59cd5019c4a83_RM-ThumbThis year for Earth Day and Arbor Day, please support ReLeaf Michigan and help us plant more trees and restore Michigan's tree canopy.

April is the biggest fundraising month for green industry non-profits like us, and we count on support from people like you to fund our efforts. If you're able to make a donation, it would go a long way toward making our Michigan communities healthier and happier!

Who Is ReLeaf Michigan?

ReLeaf Michigan is Michigan’s only statewide tree planting non-profit organization, working with communities and organizations throughout Michigan to protect and restore our urban and rural tree canopies. Our mission is to educate the public on the value of trees and how to properly select, plant, and maintain them.

Founded by some of the most respected arborists in the state and building on lifetimes of green expertise, ReLeaf Michigan plants the Right Tree in the Right Place at the Right Time to ensure each tree thrives for generations to come.

32,500 Trees. 650 Communities.

35 Years. 1 Michigan.

Over the last 35 years, ReLeaf Michigan has worked with more than 650 communities across the state. Working with community volunteers, we have planted more than 32,500 trees on public property in Michigan’s cities, towns, townships, and villages.

Unlike many other volunteer-driven tree planting organizations, ReLeaf Michigan plants trees that are already substantial in size, approximately six-feet tall and 1.5” to 2” trunk caliper, resulting in much higher rates of survival and a more immediate environmental impact.

Our communities are stronger when they are greener. People are healthier, the air is cleaner, infrastructure is more efficient, and the economy is stronger with trees. Unfortunately, only one out of every four trees that die due to old age, disease or development is currently replaced. Help us address this problem, because Michigan needs trees.
