Once again, Taylor and Michael broadcast from the Wharton Center for the Performance Arts on the campus of Michigan State University   - Musical theatre is en vogue and the renewed richness of story telling through these productions have found maddening success. Take that sense of warmth and see the “baked up” love story of “Waitress”, with music and lyrics by Grammy Award nominated Sara Bareilles, running now through Sunday!

We got to sit down with Lenne Klingaman (Dawn) and Jeremy Morse (Ogie) to talk about their roles in this sweet and spicy fast moving show. There isn’t a minute where you don’t feel, and we liked to quote Morse, “hey I know someone like that”. It’s true, the story of being a waitperson is real, and touches the lives of millions. Brielle’s’ songs deliver and the composition first word of the musical is “Sugar!”  Klingaman delivers the powerful “When He Sees Me” with the zest and vigor that is “Dawn’s” life at this very moment in time, and she captures the role wonderfully with her performance.

Morse’s “Ogie” is a totally out there, go for it all, kind of guy and he doesn’t hold back from the opportunity to discover love with Dawn. When Ogie/Morse sings “Never Ever, Ever, Ever, Ever, Getting Rid of Me”, or “I Love You Like A Table”, it speaks a library of how he’s feeling and believing in this relationship.  Take a listen to a fun and lively conversation with the actors and you will want to see this musical over and over again! “Pie For Everybody”!!!
