Celebrate Black businesses at Their Black History Month conference!
Black-owned businesses have held down Detroit for decades. This Black History Month, we're honoring the legendary and emerging Black-owned businesses during our annual Black History Month conference on Thursday, Feb. 22, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.!
This year's theme, Black Business Reunion: Uniting the Community for Prosperity, pays homage to the quintessential reunions by Black families, and recognizes the vital role that older and newer Black-owned businesses play in Detroit and beyond.
Attendees will enjoy an enriching day of panel conversations between entrepreneurs from various generations, opportunities to connect with Black business professionals, a business fair and a Black art exhibition. TechTown is also holding a Black History Month Pitch Competition for high school juniors and seniors! More information on the pitch competition can be found at techtowndet.org/PitchBHM24.
We look forward to hosting the community for this impactful event!
