The time is here to honor the 2022 Salute Award winners and learn how TechTown built bridges for entrepreneurs to succeed during the 7th annual Salute Awards ceremony! Watch TODAY from 4 - 5 p.m. at techtowndetroit.org/live.
Three outstanding, local entrepreneurs are set to receive TechTown’s highest honor for their embodiment of the entrepreneurial spirit and leveraging the many resources found at TechTown. The ceremony livestream will be conducted in English with simultaneous interpretation in Spanish.
Registration is free, and donations are kindly requested to help further the work that TechTown does to create an equitable economy.
Meet the 2022 Salute Award winners
Get ready to raise a glass for TechTown Detroit’s 2022 Salute Award winners at Toast of the Town!
We are thrilled to announce the outstanding Detroit entrepreneurs who are set to receive TechTown’s highest honor for their embodiment of the entrepreneurial spirit:
- Maribel Martinez, owner of Mangonadas del Barrio
- M. Kay Willingham, owner of Art in Motion
- Keith Young Sr., founder of Ecotek Lab
Chanell Scott Contreras, executive director of ProsperUs Detroit, will receive the Marlowe Stoudamire Small Business Champion Award.
The Salute Awards ceremony will be livestreamed to a virtual audience on Oct. 6 from 4 - 5 p.m. Registration is free, and donations are kindly requested to support the work that TechTown does to build a truly equitable economy.
But that's not all! From Sept. 29 – Oct. 6, YOU will get a chance to vote for one of the six TechTown community members nominated for this year’s People's Choice Award. The winner will be announced live during the Salute Awards. Stay tuned for voting to open next week!
