Retail Boot Camp Showcase is May 23

Join TechTown on May 23 to celebrate the hustle and hard work of 17 Retail Boot Camp (RBC) graduates! The Spring 2023 RBC Showcase will kick off with The SHOP at Showcase at 4:30 p.m., and participants will then pitch their businesses on stage starting at 6 p.m. Five standouts will each win a $5,000 Kickstart Award, and one People's Choice Award winner will receive $1,000!

When you RSVP, make a donation to the RBC Kickstart Award fund to directly support the Showcase winners!

TechTown celebrates National Small Business Week

Here in Detroit, TechTown sees the city’s hardworking small business owners and is here to support them. In honor of National Small Business Week, we wanted to remind the community about our Small Business Services, which include three programs aimed at helping small businesses in Detroit, Hamtramck and Highland Park.

Recently, Bouncing Around The Motor City was crowned the winner of the 2023 Comerica Hatch Detroit Contest, taking home the $100,000 grand prize from Comerica Bank. Cathryn Coleman, founder and owner of Bouncing Around the Motor City, and Christianne Malone, chief program officer at TechTown, were on WDIV’s Live in the D to talk about Coleman’s plans to open a storefront and Hatch Detroit’s mission and impact.
