Margaret Dimond begins her tenure as President of E.W. Sparrow Hospital
LANSING, MI – Margaret Dimond, Ph.D., an innovative and experienced healthcare leader, began her new job Tuesday as President of E.W. Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. She is the first female to hold this prestigious position in the hospital’s 127-year history.
Dimond will hit the ground running with a series of events this week to meet caregivers and get their input on improving care for our patients.
Dimond has deep roots in Michigan and an extensive background in all facets of hospital operations, including acute care, ambulatory, and physician group experience.
She has held numerous important executive positions in healthcare in Michigan, including serving as President and CEO of McLaren Oakland Hospital in Pontiac; President and CEO of Ascension Crittenton Hospital in Rochester; President and CEO of Karmanos Cancer Hospital; President and CEO of McLaren Medical Group; Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Henry Ford Hospital Warren campus; and Vice President of Ambulatory Services for Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She most recently served as Chief Administrative Officer of Naples Community Health Physician Group in Naples, Fla.
Dimond also served as Assistant Dean for the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and Physician Practice Plan. She was part of the founding team of the Michigan State University Women’s Leadership Institute.
