Author and photographer Steven Burton returns to Show Biz Weekly with an update on his book Skin Deep and its release October 24th 2017. The book provides an inside look into former gang members who get a look at their lives if they were to remove gang tattoos.
Segment 1: Burton, a former model with international work, is now a full time New York based photographer and storyteller. His first book “Skin Deep” has been so well received that its Indigogo campaign was a huge success. The photographs from the book give the identity back to the individuals and offer a look at what their lives will be like once the tats are removed permanently.

Segment 2: Burton’s work on “Skin Deep” was a journey for him to begin examining how others see the gang members and how first impressions leave a visual and mental imprint with the viewer. The doc film “G Dog” was his first introduction into the world unknown to many and this young Brit decided to take a closer look into their world and it changed him forever. His next project will take on this world in a larger format and he will look into Neo Nazi, Klu Klux Klan and more former members of hate groups who are looking to rid their past skin imprints from their current lives.
