Join the U.S. Small Business Administration and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development on May 6 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 for an information session on resources available to small business and to business concerns that employ low-income persons.
HUD’s Section 3 program is a provision of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 and was enacted to ensure that jobs, training and contracting generated by HUD funding be directed to low- and very low-income persons, particularly those who are recipients of government assistance for housing, and to business concerns that substantially employ those persons.
Who should attend? Contractors, subcontractors, small business owners, accounting and payroll firms, and anyone involved in construction or housing authorities. Learn about the benefits of contracting preferences for Section 3 entities and government contracting opportunities, and how to self-certify with HUD to access these benefits.
