Launch team members and human resources staff to share plans, progress and job opportunities with Lansing’s new high-tech battery cell manufacturer

LANSING, Mich. — Google “electric vehicles” and you’ll find page after page of studies, news articles and even data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics about the products’ rise in popularity and potential.

As Ultium Cells invests $2.6 billion into the Lansing region’s electric vehicle industry, the company is hosting a Talent Showcase to invite the community in and share with them and job seekers about the technology, culture and mission of Ultium Cells.

Job seekers who attend will be able to discuss career opportunities at Lansing’s new battery cell manufacturing company. Current open positions at Ultium Cells include engineers, supervisors, information technology, administrative roles and various internships. The company will continue to hire for a wide variety of positions throughout 2024.

The Ultium Cells Lansing facility is still under construction. When finished, it will be 2.8 million square feet – the equivalent of 48 football fields in size.

While its facility is still underway, the Talent Showcase brings together Ultium’s Launch Team members in person at Lansing Community College’s West Campus, giving the community and job seekers a glimpse of what’s to come at Ultium Cells.

The Ultium Cells Talent Showcase runs from 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31 at Lansing Community College’s West Campus, 5708 Cornerstone Drive in Lansing. Capital Area Michigan Works!, a talent partner with Ultium Cells, will also be available to support in recruiting efforts for Ultium.
