Creating 55 New Jobs and Bolstering Michigan's Engineering Sector 

Lansing, Mich. (Dec. 9, 2024) – Matrix Consulting Engineers Inc. (Matrix), a leading provider of mechanical and electrical engineering services, is excited to announce the expansion of its operations, consolidating several locations to a new office building in Delta Township. This strategic move will create 55 new jobs over the next three years and represents a significant $5 million investment in the region.

“Matrix is excited to announce our new, larger office at 544 Cherbourg in Lansing. We now will have both of our Lansing locations under one roof after operating in two separate Lansing offices for the past year. This shows our commitment to growing with our staff and clients. This new space will increase our staff’s collaboration and efficiency, enabling us to better serve our clients and support our expanding team” shared, Craig Trierweiler president at Matrix Consulting Engineers.

As part of this expansion, the company plans to hire skilled professionals across various engineering disciplines, furthering Michigan’s commitment to retaining and growing its high-tech workforce.

The expansion is poised to create new opportunities for local talent, particularly graduates from nearby institutions such as Michigan State University, further enhancing the region’s competitive edge in the engineering field. Additionally, the company received a 10-year Commercial Rehabilitation Exemption Certificate from Delta Township to help facilitate the move and improvements to the new facility.

The Township Board was proud to support the company's $1M investment in the property with the approval of a Commercial Rehabilitation tax exemption that will save them almost $100k on local property taxes over the next decade. With over $5 million in investment and the creation of 55 new jobs, Matrix Consulting Engineers’ expansion is a testament to the continued growth of Michigan's engineering sector and its capacity to attract and retain high-quality talent and companies.
