Mentor-Protégé Program Summit
The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) worked with the Department of Defense (DoD) Office of Small Business Programs and the Michigan APEX Accelerators to recruit primes and mentors to participate in one-on-one networking during the Mentor-Protégé Program Summit (MPP). MPP will take place at Huntington Place in Detroit on July 29-Aug 1, 2024.
The one-on-one session involves pre-scheduled, speed networking meetings where large prime vendors, small businesses, DoD agencies and industry partners come together to cultivate relationships. Protégés and potential protégés will have the opportunity to request brief, 10-minute meetings with a curated selection of mentors, DoD agencies, and industry partners. These interactions aim to foster connections that may ultimately lead to partnerships within the framework of the Mentor-Protégé Program.
The primes include the Department of the Navy's Military Sealift Command, General Dynamics Mission Systems, L3Harris Technologies, Inc., Q.E.D. Systems, Lockheed Martin, All Points, DLA Land and Maritime, Parsons, ND Defense, Northrop Grumman Corporation - Mission Systems, Propper International Inc., Missile Defense Agency, Global Resource Solutions, Inc., SMART and Deloitte Consulting. Procurement discussion will include, but are not limited to, shipbuilding, engineering services, hotels, travel arrangement services, batteries, printing, aircraft parts, sheet metal, fabrication, and so much more.
If you would like to promote your products and services to these primes, submit your supplier application by July 10 to be considered for one-on-one networking. As a reminder, you must also register to attend the event, or you will NOT be considered. This application is NOT registration.
