MBK Michigan AlliancePart two of MBK (My Brother’s Keeper) Michigan Summit features the afternoon session initiated by a call to action from youth!

What is the MBK Michigan Alliance? Get the story on My Brother’s Keeper in Michigan and the first statewide MBK Summit in the nation! Nine communities in Michigan have united to form the MBK Michigan Alliance, to promote a common agenda to close racial and gender gaps for youth from birth to young adulthood.

My Brother’s Keeper prioritizes boys and young men of color based on data that structural barriers persist and exacerbate inequities across systems. "In 2012, the economy would have been $28.9 billion larger if there had been no racial gaps in income. (Source: National Equity Atlas)" www.mbkmi.org

Transform Michigan, co-hosted by Angela Waters Austin and Rev. Sean 'Mordecai' Holland, celebrates nonprofit businesses and the impact of social entrepreneurs on Michigan’s double bottom-line.
