Call for Proposals for 2025 Building Michigan Communities Conference

Get your proposals ready for the 2025 Building Michigan Communities Conference (BMCC), happening on May 14 & 15 in Lansing, Michigan. This year’s theme, Partners in Progress, promises exciting opportunities and unforgettable experiences for our attendees. In 2024, we welcomed around 1,200 housing financiers, developers, public officials, asset managers, policymakers, and other industry leaders—and we’re ready to make 2025 even bigger and better!

We’re on the hunt for innovative, thought-provoking content to inspire and energize our audience. Here’s how you can get involved:

Pecha Kucha (Japanese for chit-chat) Sessions

Want to make a quick impact? This rapid-fire presentation style (less than 10 minutes per speaker) strings together several short, unrelated presentations in a dynamic 60-minute breakout session, perfect for introducing a variety of topics in a short burst of time.

60-Minute Educational Sessions

If you have more in-depth insights to share, our traditional educational sessions are the place for you.

Proposals should align with one or more of the following five tracks:

  • Asset Management
  • Community and Economic Development
  • Homeownership Finance and Development
  • Preventing and Ending Homelessness
  • Rental Finance and Development

Submit your proposal by Friday, October 4, 2024, and help shape the future of housing in Michigan! Notifications will be sent out by Friday, December 6, 2024.
