LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP) Child Care Licensing Bureau (CCLB) has summarily suspended and issued a notice of intent to revoke the child care center license of Tiny Tators Childcare LLC, located at 1036 Bell Road, Niles.

The complaint investigation that concluded on August 22, 2024, found violations of the Child Care Organizations Act and administrative rules, including but not limited to the following:

  • Failure to act in a manner that is conducive to the welfare of children
  • Failure to provide appropriate care and supervision of children at all times
  • Failure to maintain the premises in a clean and safe condition
  • Failure to have the administrative capability to operate a child care center in a manner that is conducive to the welfare of children

Effective 6 p.m., on August 23, 2024, the summary suspension order and notice of intent to revoke prohibits Tiny Tators Childcare LLC from operating a child care center at 1036 Bell Road, in Niles, or at any other address or location. Accordingly, Tiny Tators Childcare LLC may not accept children for care after that date and time. The order also requires the licensee to inform all parents of children in its care that the license has been suspended and that it can no longer provide child care.

It was critical to take emergency action to protect the health, welfare, and safety of the children at this child care center.
