Important Information on the Spirits Buy Back Program
Four Good Reasons to Request a Spirits Buy Back
- This is a cash advance program. The Commission buys back spirits you have in inventory as of March 16, 2020.
- You keep possession of spirits the Commission has bought back. Bottles will not be picked up.
- You can use up this inventory and sell the products up to 90 days from when the declaration of emergency is lifted; and you can purchase more spirits during that time.
- You pay the Commission back within 90 days after the declaration of emergency is lifted, interest free.
Remember:
- Your application must also include a detailed list of current inventory that you’re requesting a buyback for.
- The buyback specifically excludes expired and delisted products.
- You as the licensee, are responsible for the custody and care of the Commission’s inventory it has bought back.
- Any spirits that the Commission owns and that you sell after re-opening, must be paid back to the Commission.
- After the 90-day period following the end of emergency, you must buy all spirits the Commission purchased or wait for the Commission to seize spirits before you can buy additional spirits.
