Business by the Bay: Local Entrepreneurs Compete for Over $11,000 in Cash Prizes at Exciting Pitch Competition

The Michigan Small Business Development Center (SBDC) - Lake Huron Region and Huntington Bank are proud to announce the highly anticipated Business by the Bay pitch competition, taking place on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024, at the John Glenn High School Auditorium in Bay City. This exciting event will showcase five Bay County entrepreneurs, competing for over $11,000 in cash prizes.

The event is free to attend, offering a fantastic evening for the public to support local businesses while enjoying light refreshments and entertainment. A Meet & Greet will begin at 5 PM, followed by the pitch event from 6 PM to 8 PM. Attendees can also participate by casting their vote for the Fan Favorite Award, with $5 ballots available at the door.

The five finalists competing in the event represent a wide range of industries, including Bay City Boat RentalBonejacked Vintage ApparelBroadway Family GrillCarmona's Super Taco, and Sanctuary Yoga. Their innovative ideas and passion will be on full display as they vie for top honors.

“This event is a celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit that drives Bay County,” said Michelle Judd, Small Business Consultant at the Michigan SBDC and committee member for Business by the Bay. “We are thrilled to provide these businesses with a platform to shine, and we encourage the community to come out, enjoy the event, and support these local entrepreneurs. Their success is the success of Bay County.”

Around the State, hosted by SBDC Michigan, provides counseling, training and research to assist small business to launch, grow, transition and innovate.
