CLIENTS PLANNING TO BUILD THEIR OWN PRODUCTS USUALLY HAVE TWO OPTIONS:
Option 1
Build in-house manufacturing capacity and capability. This option comes with significant cost with considerable learning along the way. Even if the right team members can be found, this approach takes time and attention away from other critical tasks for product development and launch.
Option 2
Partner with an established contract manufacturer, with a standard process for every product. With this choice, a great deal of control is lost as focus is on the process, not the product. Edison leverages the product specifications to drive the process and with this approach comes cost effectiveness and speed to market.
