Educational & Interactive Learning Environments

At Encompass Therapy Center (ETC) we implement evidence-based practices to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) under the supervision of a Behavior Analyst to increase socially significant behaviors.

Our staff members include Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Behavior Consultants (BCs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavior Technicians who are all well-trained and experienced. We strive to establish and maintain a fun, educational and interactive learning environment for both clients and staff.

Individualized Treatment Plans

Through creating individualized treatment plans and using positive reinforcement, we will focus on creating numerous learning opportunities for our clients to show meaningful behavior changes across multiple skills. Some of the skills include:

• gross motor

• fine motor

• social

• independent living

• vocal skills

Treatment Plan Process

Each skill is broken down into specific targets and then taught systematically through Natural Environment Teaching (NET) and Discrete Trial Training (DTT).

NET uses a more naturalistic style of teaching where we teach in the moment and contrive opportunities to teach new skills. DTT consists of presenting an instruction to the client and prompting them if necessary to the correct, appropriate response. 

Behavior Intervention Plans

Additionally, Behavior Analysts will create individualized behavior intervention plans to decrease any problem behaviors based upon empirically validated assessments and goals of all parties involved.

Our Behavior Analysts will also sit down with caregivers, parents and educators to train them on specific goals and intervention plans so that our clients will generalize skills across various settings and individuals.

Data Analysis For Positive Growth

Behavior Analysts and Behavior Technicians will assess and analyze data each day to ensure positive growth; and alter any treatment plans if needed. Our Behavior Analysts will create graphs to show improvements or lack thereof and make decisions based upon those graphs accordingly.
