After School: Good for Kids. Good for Business.

As Michigan’s educators work to bridge the pandemic-related learning loss experienced by children and teens across the state, many working families are also struggling with child care needs keeping them from participating in the workforce. This discussion will address how the expansion and enhancement of quality after-school programs can be part of the solution and what more can be done to increase the number of young people, families, and employers benefiting from quality after-school programs.

Michigan Afterschool Partnership: We build connections.

For many Michigan children, there’s an essential bridge between the classroom and home. Essential learning is occurring before and after school—and during the summer months—thanks to trusted, effective Out-of-School-Time (OST) programs.

In programs across the state, talented adults are helping boost knowledge and skills among our youth.

The Michigan Afterschool Partnership champions statewide access to quality and equitable Out-of-School Time programs to ensure that all children and youth succeed.
