Lansing, MI – Michigan small businesses are gaining affordable access to a suite of wellness services for their employees thanks to a new program offered by the Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM).
With Gallup reporting a national 11-year low in employee engagement, SBAM continues to look for ways to help its membership attract and retain employees by involving them in purposeful efforts to meet their needs.
The SBAM Wellness Program is designed to be affordable, simple, and keep employees engaged by offering incentives and challenges. With an online portal, employees utilizing the program will have their own personal account and can regularly visit the site to find important wellness information, access challenges, track activity and use specific tools that are geared towards their specific health risks.
“Wellness programs create a supportive work environment that encourages work-life balance, helps manage stress, and promotes mental health awareness,” said Michelle Beebe, SBAM Chief Revenue Officer. “The SBAM Wellness Program can result in long-term cost savings for employers through reduced healthcare costs, lower turnover rates, and higher employee retention. When employees feel supported in maintaining their happiness and well-being, they’re likely to be more engaged and focused on their work.”
Offered in partnership with OnSite Wellness, LLC, a Michigan woman-owned company earning both the Women’s Business Enterprise and Women-Owned Small Business certifications and serving companies throughout the entire state of Michigan and nationwide, the goal of the program is to reach participants where they are, when they need it.
“It has been a dream of ours to be able to offer affordable wellness programming to small businesses in Michigan,” said Mary Kline, owner of OnSite Wellness, LLC. “With our new SBAM partnership, members can now have access to many of the same wellness opportunities as large employers at a reasonable cost.”
Eligible businesses will receive special SBAM member pricing and have varying options for incentives to offer employees.
