Child and Family Charities donates home to Endeavor Ministries

LANSING, MI – Child and Family Charities recently continued its unwavering support to the community by donating a home to Endeavor Ministries to expand its program to women.

The 112-year-old nonprofit organization donated the former Kevin J. Moody house which will become Endeavor Ministries’ Angie House. The grand opening of Angie’s House took place today at the newly renovated space, celebrating the collaboration between the organizations and shared dedication to individuals and family.

“We are proud to contribute to such a worthy cause by donating this house to Endeavor Ministries,” said Julie Thomasma, executive director of Child and Family Charities. “Angie’s House will serve as a beacon of light for women in our community and represents our commitment to ensure all people have a brighter future.”

Endeavor Ministries will use the renovated space to extend their support for women on their journey to recovery.

“With this donation of the home from Child Family Charities and with the support of our amazing community partners, Endeavor Ministries is excited to begin working with the women at the newly remodeled home called Angie’s House,” said Mike Keenoy, executive director of Endeavor Ministries. “For 18 years, Endeavor Ministries has served men on their path to recovery from substance abuse. Now, with this new home, our mission will extend to women. At the end of the day, all that matters is helping people get their lives back.”

Child and Family Charities is wrapping up a capital campaign to consolidate its programs on one centralized campus at the former Greater Lansing McLaren’s Greenlawn Campus. The final, grassroots phase accepts donations of any amount to complement its array of services for children, teens and families.
