Chris Holman welcomes Frank DeLuca, Director, Application/Sales Engineering, CoreTechnologie, Southfield, MI. The company had been among those with displays at Automation Alley's recent Integr8 held in Novi, MI.
Watch Frank and Chris discuss the recent Integr8 Conference and process of his company CoreTechnologie in the YouTube video shared below!
For this discussion, their topic: Pre-Processes Native CAD for Additive Manufacturing. Chris looked to find out from Frank;
Tell us about your company, and its involvement at Automation Alley's recent Integr8?
- Tell us about: Massive zones and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analysis tools?
- What are Lattice functions and their over one dozen options for minimizing material usage?
- So your company has Cut tools (lap joints, pins, dovetail, polyline) tell us about those.
- CoreTechnologie does custom textures that include auto-generating increment numbers and letters?
- Are techniques of Industry 4.0 that allow you to access to thousands of predefined templates
4D_Additive is a CAD and printer agnostic software solution that continuously improves process workflows for additive manufacturing.
This professional tool allows the user to read CAD and triangulated data of all major formats and prepare additive manufacturing jobs quickly and accurately. The exact checking, repairing and direct modeling of 3D models according to global engineering standards, based on the original CAD geometry description, is now possible.
Common machine types and technology parameters of additive processes are stored in the system’s database. The software has a modern, fast and easy-to-use graphic interface and innovative features such as automatic 3D nesting with optimal heat distribution.
Powerful analysis functions allow for an ideal alignment of parts and indication of wall thicknesses and holes that are too small for manufacturing. The tool has sophisticated functions for hollowing and for generating internal and external lattices as well as support structures. When sending data to the machine, 4D_Additive supports all major slicing, bitmap and 3D printing formats. Furthermore, integrated build managers of various machine manufacturers are available so that the data can be sent directly from 4D_Additive to the printer.
