● Question: What is the Michigan Works! Impact Awards?
According to the Michigan Works! Association, the Impact Awards “honor those who have contributed to strengthening Michigan’s economy by actively creating jobs and developing fresh talent in their communities.”
This highly publicized event celebrates the economic impact of newly created jobs, transformational training and effective talent pipeline development across the state. .
During the event, state legislators present tributes to award winners, who tell their story and the role Michigan Works! agencies have played in their success.
In addition, each Michigan Works! agency nominates a local employer for their hard work and dedication to the community throughout the year.

● Question: Which employer from the Lansing community will CAMW! honor at the awards ceremony?
CAMW! has nominated Woodbridge Group, located in Lansing.
This organization has supplied the General Motors Lansing Grand River plant for over 20 years, delivering enterprise solutions that support complex, integrated systems.
Woodbridge supports the requirements of numerous automotive and
non-automotive programs by providing complete systems, modules,
components, parts and materials.
Woodbridge has partnered with CAMW! since 2015 to support these operations by enhancing talent attraction, retention and development
Since our partnership began, Woodbridge has engaged with the Business Services Team (BST) for recruitment services and the Business Resource Network (BRN) to implement strategies for increasing employee retention.
Woodbridge has also received three Going PRO Talent Fund awards since 2015.
Recently, a $35,325 award was presented to nine team members to take a leadership development course and two workers to advance their skills with CNC machines through a Mill Essentials course.
