MANUFACTURING GROWTH ALLIANCES ANNOUNCES MAY EVENT LINEUP FOR MANUFACTURERS IN MICHIGAN
LANSING, Mich. - Manufacturing Growth Alliance (MGA) is excited to bring two webinars to manufacturers across the state of Michigan in the month of May. Manufacturers who are looking to protect their companies from cyber attacks and retain their people through a strong health plan should plan to attend one or both events at no cost.
The first event in the lineup is In the Crosshairs: Cybersecurity and the Threat to Manufacturing, taking place on Thursday, May 16 from 10:00 – 11:00 am. For manufacturers, Cybersecurity is the protection of their hardware, software, and data against unauthorized access to systems, data, and networks. This is especially important in the manufacturing industry, which experiences nearly one quarter of all cyberattacks! And while manufacturers may be seeing benefits from new technologies, from IoT-enabled devices to advanced analytics and 'smart' factories, these cloud-connected applications can also introduce new risks. A proactive cybersecurity strategy is critical to protecting manufacturing operations, intellectual property, PII and financial data, and company reputation. Manufacturers are invited to join MGA, North American ContractorLink, and Egnyte for a webinar that will give small to medium sized manufacturers an overview of:
- The threats they should expect to face
- Some practical tactics they might employ to mitigate cyber risks
The second event, taking place on Monday, May 20 from 10:00 – 10:45 am is called People First Health Plans: How to Build an Award-Winning Health Plan for your People. This webinar will help manufacturers build a health plan that is right for their company. Guest speakers Brian Bellware of Gibson and Bruce Tap of Fastco Industries will cover:
- Why manufacturers should prioritize their health plan as a part of their business strategy
- 5 strategies to escape traditional insurance models and build a People-First Health Plan
- How to leverage health benefit captives to stabilize their health spending
Registration for both webinars is mandatory. Interested employers are invited to visit MGAlliance.org/events to register their attendance and learn more about the events.
The Manufacturing Growth Alliance (MGA) is a membership-based organization that provides services to help manufacturers build smart, lead strong, and establish a pathway for future growth.
