Jordyn jhermani@mlive.com having previously covered Michigan House for the news agency until mid-2023. As part of her beat, she covers political culture issues including those related to the LGBTQ community, gun control, gender, local government and education.
A Michigander since birth, she graduated from Central Michigan University in 2018 with a double major in journalism and political science, the latter of which she completed while studying at Moscow State University.
Jordyn's previous bylines have appeared in Gongwer News Service where she wrote about Michigan politics; Politico where she wrote about technology, cybersecurity and voting; and the Indianapolis Star, where she worked as a Pulliam Fellow.
