Pitches Michigan as the Best Place to do Business
LANSING, Mich. -- Thursday, Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist II attended the Consumer Electronics Show 2023. While at the trade show, he will deliver remarks and participate in event panels pitching Michigan as the best place to do business for tech companies and start-ups. He will focus on our state’s unique engineering and manufacturing story, strong economic momentum, and leadership role in the development of future technologies such as connected, electric, and autonomous vehicles.
The Whitmer Administration has been paving the way to create a stronger Michigan. The administration is helping Michiganders compete for high-tech jobs through the Michigan Reconnect and the Michigan Achievement Scholarship programs, which lower the cost of higher education. Since 2019, Michigan has announced 30,000 new auto jobs, expanded investments in critical industries manufacturing chips and batteries, and revamped our economic competitiveness with a bipartisan plan to attract businesses to the state.
