It has been a long road; filled with pretty amazing memories! Gregory Eaton is one of Lansing's best known sons for many reasons, but in part because his family has been in that town since 1880! His parents taught him many valuable things and giving back was all part of the learning!
If you are from Lansing, you might have stopped at his restaurant Gregory's Soul Food, where history meets some really good cooking! But his start was playing high school football, basketball and track at Sexton High School, but soon after he finished school he started his first business, Greg's Janitorial Service. His life has been filled with great success including being a lobbyist and served for 37 years as executive assistant and legislative counsel for the Michigan Automobile Dealers Association. In 1989, Eaton started Metro Cars with his partner, Cullen Meathe. They began with 30 brand new Cadillacs and trained their employees at the Ritz Carlton in Dearborn.
He's received national notoriety as one of only three people who have been at every NFL Super Bowl, but his ticket to fame is his winning personality and the incredible generosity for giving to others. This is a fun interview with a great legend who gave Vic Verchereau and the listeners some of his time to serve up this edition of the Leadership Lowdown!
