LANSING, Mich. — LAFCU has expanded its team with the addition of two experienced professionals in key roles—Danna Finney joins as compliance officer, and Monica Roark as accounts payable specialist.
As compliance officer, Danna Finney (left) ensures LAFCU’s policies and procedures comply with relevant laws and regulations. She analyzes new and pending legislation, recommends adjustments to existing practices, and coordinates with departments to implement necessary changes in a timely manner.
Finney joined LAFCU with 17 years of credit union experience, filling roles such as branch sales and service manager, operations support specialist, and compliance specialist. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Siena Heights University in Adrian, and an associate degree in business management from Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek. A resident of Battle Creek, Finney is certified as a Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) and holds the Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist designation (BSACS).
“I am honored to contribute to LAFCU’s dedication to upholding the highest standards of compliance,” said Finney. “Navigating complex regulations while advancing LAFCU’s mission to serve its members is both a challenge and a privilege.”
As accounts payable specialist, Monica Roark (left) will receive, process, and verify invoices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely payments by negotiating terms and resolving disputes. She will also handle administrative tasks within the accounting department, including posting accounting entries, processing mail, authorizing payments, and assisting with general ledger balancing and VISA statements.
Roark brings six years of accounting experience to her role at LAFCU. She previously worked as accounts payable coordinator at Dean Transportation as well as Douglas J Aveda Institutes & Salons. She holds an associate of arts degree in general studies from Grand Rapids Community College in Grand Rapids, and currently resides in Grand Ledge.
