Generation E InstituteJeffrey Mosher, sitting in for Chris Holman, talks with Marsha Madle, Michigan Associate at Generation E Institute. Generation E Institute has been in existence since 2004, serving youth, ages 10 - 26, which does include special needs students. They are actively involved in youth entrepreneurship, helping students take an idea and guiding them through the process of developing it into a business. They work with different groups across 83 counties. Marsha explained how they work extensively with 4H groups, career technology programs, schools and others interested in developing student entrepreneurship programs.

In May, the Institute hosts its annual showcase event, where students from all over the state come to feature and sell their products. The showcase event also offers an opportunity for networking and learning. Generation E Institute is always looking for business people to be mentors for students to help them develop their business plans.

Michigan Business Beat, hosted by Chris Holman, discusses economic development, new or unusual entrepreneurial initiatives, and successful business practices from different regions and industries around Michigan with a wide range of entrepreneurs and business leaders.
