Around 11 or 12 years old, Steve Jbara owner of SSJ Group, was waking up during the summer months, when most kids were sleeping in, to chalk and groom the little league diamond in his neighborhood. This small responsibility that Jbara started at such a young age prepared him for what was to come later on in life.

When he left is comfort zone in corporate American to become an entrepreneur, he knew it wasn’t going to be easy. He persevered to get funding by successfully selling himself and surrounding himself with good people. Getting funding wasn't a walk in the park, but Jbara believes that his failures of not getting funding at the start helped shape his pitch and ability to market himself and his company. He believes that failure is imporatant, but the acceptance of failure isn’t going to get anyone anywhere—you need to learn from it and want to do better.

Listen to this episode of The Trep Talk to get advice about finding funding for your company, and other little entrepreneurship nuggets that should inspire you to be better entrepreneur.
