Eaton County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Vandalism

EATON COUNTY, MI — On July 12, 2024, at approximately 7:30 a.m., Eaton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call from the Cheney Limestone Quarry in Bellevue regarding a malicious destruction of property complaint.

The investigation revealed that two excavators were damaged and vandalized and will require over $10,000 in repairs. The investigation is ongoing, and the Sheriff’s Office is seeking information that can assist in the investigation. This may be related to other vandalism in the area that is being investigated by the Michigan State Police.
