DETROIT – (July 30, 2024) – The Detroit Auto Show today announced its 11-day show calendar for 2025 that reflects an energized synergy between media, industry and consumer audiences and programming. The iconic show is Detroit-driven, celebrating mobility and the city’s automotive heritage.  Held at Huntington Place in downtown Detroit, the show is set for Friday, Jan. 10 - Monday, Jan. 20, 2025.

The event returns to January with an eye toward providing automakers and partners a flexible schedule for product and technology debuts while bringing consumers new experiences and innovative vehicles as well as educational opportunities.  Exhibitors will have the flexibility to schedule press conferences and reveals throughout the show.

“As we reimagine the show, we’re being agile about scheduling events to meet the needs and preferences of key stakeholders,” Detroit Auto Show Co-Executive Director Rod Alberts said.  “OEMs and show partners will have the opportunity to directly reach out to customers with product announcements during the public show or have media- and industry-focused events as in the past.”

Highlights of the 2025 Detroit Auto Show schedule include:

Media Day, Friday, Jan. 10

The 2025 Detroit Auto Show will officially kick-off on Media Day with media access to the show floor and a media-centric slate of events, including the announcement of the 2025 winners of the North American Car, Truck and Utility Vehicle of the Year (NACTOY) awards.  For three decades, the auto show has served as a backdrop for the presentation of what are considered the most coveted automotive awards in North America.

Following on the heels of NACTOY will be the announcement of the EyesOn Design Awards, recognizing exceptional design of production and concept vehicles that debuted over the past year.  The awards are selected by the leaders of the automotive design community – active and retired heads of design at OEMs, transportation design chairs from top art schools and leading designers from other fields.

The Detroit Economic Club’s annual Auto Show Luncheon will follow the awards presentations.  The event will feature insights from a top leader in the international business community along with a visit to the auto show floor.  Follow econclub.org for more information and announcements about the luncheon.
