Segment 1- Dan Kofoed: Kofoed is an intellectual film nerd who’s life has longed and has always taken a “special” look at film and it’s because of that he studied film from it’s theoretical and visual narrative conventions of comics and film, that have are published in academic journals on those subjects. His love of words and how they are powerful elements of conscious decisions provided the thought to perhaps take it to hands on experience. His career has also involved teaching creative writing at both Michigan State University and the University of South Dakota.

Segment 2- Dan Kofoed: Kofoed decided that it was time to use those creative hands and brain of his to create EXPOSURE FILM FOUNDRY back in 2014. It’s embryonic life began informally back then, with the chance interview with a humanitarian for a local non-profit, and its life began to grow into a the official launch in 2016. When it’s going good, keep it going was perhaps the thoughts behind Kofoed’s move into creating the inaugural Threadbare Mitten Film Festival to be held in Charlotte begin June 23-24. This event, a first because of its sub culture and film genres cinema is the celebration Kofoed is hoping to introduce here in the Tell-Tale Heart of Michigan.
