It is that time of year again for Haven House to start gearing up for its annual Pancake Palooza taking place in-person at 2/42 Community Church located at 2600 Bennett Rd, Okemos, MI, on February 25th at 9:00 a.m. I can’t think of a better day than Giving Tuesday, a movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities, to kick off my 9th fundraiser supporting Haven House!
Last year, nearly 100 of you joined me in beating my personal fundraising goal of $30,000 to help our neighbors who struggle with homelessness. With every donation, Haven House can provide the housing and support services families need to stay together and get back on their feet with a place of their own. Whether it be through services like counseling for children who are having trouble processing the trauma of losing their home or financial tutoring so parents know how to budget for a new permanent residence, I cannot say enough about the important work Haven House does.
Haven House is also gearing up to celebrate their 40th anniversary next year. At Cinnaire, we are looking forward to jumping into 2023 with a series of events and activities throughout the year to celebrate our own 30th Anniversary. In honor of these two impactful milestones, I’ve been inspired to reach higher and set a new goal of $40,000 this year. I know I can’t do this without your help.
