Shelly speaks with Lexus Yousif, the Administrative Coordinator for D-MAN group, talks about the 9th annual Carnival of Care which is a one-of-a-kind healthcare expo that transforms vendor booths into carnival booths, offers a day of wheelchair-friendly family fun that also educates and informs. The event provides information, services and support for patients suffering from spinal cord injuries or any other mental and physical disabilities, as well as for patient caretakers, and their families. The carnival atmosphere features clowns, games, balloon artists, face painters, free food, entertainment and much more. D-MAN Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping and enriching the lives of those affected by spinal cord injury and other severe disabilities. They provide services including education, travel programs, music therapy, fundraising and other events designed to elevate the lives of patients and their families.The event takes place Sunday, March 22, noon to 5:00 p.m. at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.
