The 2021 Altair Enlighten Awards
Presented annually with CAR, this year the Altair Enlighten Award will honor the greatest sustainability and ightweighting advancements that show a successful commitment in reducing the carbon footprint, mitigating water and energy consumption, as well as successful efforts in material reuse and recycling.
Sparking interest from industry, engineering, policymakers, educators, students, and the public alike, this annual award provides an environment to share the latest technology innovations dedicated to sustainability.
Two new sustainability judging categories for this year are:
Sustainable Product:
Production vehicle (or major system module) award recognizing emissions, lightweighting, and safety advances.
Sustainable Process:
Manufacturing award recognizing material reuse/recycling and water conservation advances.

Final judging will occur in June and winners will be announced in an awards ceremony on August 4, 2021 at the annual CAR Management Briefing Seminars (MBS).
