~Rethink your roots in mid-Michigan~
Capital Comeback, hosted by Capital Area Michigan Works!, aims to connect former residents of greater Lansing with mid-Michigan’s brightest employers in a casual, contemporary networking setting at the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum.
The associated PodCast here has Chris Holman speaking with Allison Keskimaki telling her story of growing up in Michigan, moving to Hawaii, and now making a life in the Lansing area the past few years. She is helping with the Capital Comeback event Wednesday evening November 23rd.
The economic comeback over the last several years has brought companies back to mid-Michigan. These companies are eager to attract more talent to help grow their organizations in Ingham, Eaton and Clinton Counties. Greater Lansing is home to a global economy and prestigious national headquarters, including Michigan State University, Jackson National Life, Dart Container, GM and more. Sparrow Health System and Neogen are two of the employers who are committed to Capital Comeback, and look forward to showcasing what their companies can offer. These opportunities allow young professionals to make a big impact in mid-Michigan early on in their careers.
The mid-Michigan economy has an abundance of high-wage, high-demand jobs in the STEAM fields (science, technology, engineering, art + design and mathematics) that employers are eager to fill. Accompanied by Michigan’s booming economy, there is no better time to return home to your roots.
Capital Comeback will be held on:
Wednesday, Nov. 23 at Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum from 6-8pm (Hor d'oeuvres and refreshments will be offered to attendees).
