The Lansing Board of Water & Light will host its 13th annual Hometown Power 5K tomorrow, Saturday, August 13 at 9 am. Proceeds for the event will benefit the McLaren Greater Lansing Healthcare Foundation.
WHAT: BWL Hometown Power 5K
WHEN: Saturday, August 13, 9 am start
WHERE: BWL REO Town Headquarters, 1201 S. Washington Ave., Lansing
BWL General Manager Dick Peffley will kick-off this year’s run which will again run through neighborhoods near the BWL REO Town Headquarters and along the river trail (see attached image for the course map). Each finisher will receive a race tech t-shirt and a finisher’s medal. Medals will also be awarded to the top three in each age group and overall winners. There will also be a free kids’ fun run following the completion of the 5K.
Packet pick-up will be held on Friday, August 12 at the REO Town Depot from 1-5 pm, as well as from 7:30-8:45 am the morning of the race. Interested runners can still register by clicking here.
