DETROIT– Business Leaders for Michigan today announced that Haleigh Krombeen has joined the organization as director of government affairs and initiatives.
Krombeen (left) comes to Business Leaders from the Michigan Credit Union League, where as director of state advocacy, she managed the association’s state policy agenda, PAC fundraising efforts, and grassroots engagement. In this role, she was the main advocacy voice for all Michigan headquartered credit unions. Krombeen previously served in a number of roles at the Michigan Credit Union League, including manager of legislative affairs, state legislative affairs coordinator, and political affairs coordinator.

Krombeen has extensive experience in the advocacy space including lobbying, issue development, research, policy drafting, political action committees, campaign finance, bi-partisan relationship building, and grassroots advocacy. She holds a law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, a bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University, and is licensed to practice law in the state of Michigan.
Business Leaders also announced that Tim Sowton, who has served the organization since 2009, has moved into a new role as vice president of public policy and research; Lindsay Case Palsrok, who joined the organization in January 2022, was named vice president of government affairs.
