Facebook blames 'server configuration change' for its longest outage ever

Facebook, once again, was in the news this month for a number of reasons. However, this time it had its users up in arms – big time. On March 13th, Facebook experienced its longest ever outage due to a server configuration change. The outage caused users to not be able to log into their Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp accounts properly. This is the longest outage that Facebook has experienced, being down for nearly the entire day.

Gotcha! Research discovered that 2/3 of Android antivirus apps available in Google Play store don’t actually provide any protection for the device. While the reviews and ratings can certainly help someone determine the quality of the app, it is still misleading. Further research found that less than 1/3 of the apps were able to detect 30% of malicious apps.

People have been skeptical of online advertising for years. Whether there was truly cause for that skepticism is still up for debate, but this article right here gives us good reason to be leery of the ad links. Sizmek Inc, is investigating an incident in which a hacker was selling the access to ad accounts. As it turns out, the hacker resold the access to the account, which allowed for ad creations to be edited and saved.
