The three of them discuss what the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is, what it means to Michigan manufacturers, and the latest changes.
John and Josh go on to explain that CMMC is the mandated requirements set by the government and Department of Defense for manufactures in the Defense Industrial Base. The goal is to ensure the manufacturers are providing adequate cybersecurity for the information that gets provided to and used in defense products and services. It is designed to require manufacturers to practice a certain level of cybersecurity maturity and hygiene .
