Doug Eadie, President of Doug Eadie & Company discusses the four facets of CEO perspectives regarding governance, the characteristics of a Board savvy CEO, Board committees, and the importance of governance process design.  Doug shares advice on board committee purposes. He also covers two insidious foes, or assumptions, that are not always true. The two he addresses in this show are

  1. Governing is simply policy-making
  2. Board standing committees invite micro-managing

Every CEO or prospective CEO should allocate 20- 30 percent of their time to governance work and a large part of this is redesigning the process to assure that everyone is contributing to the betterment of the organization.
