Progressive Mechanical Expands to Bay County

MONITOR TWP. – Progressive Mechanical, Inc., a veteran-owned business headquartered in Clawson, MI, is a full-service mechanical, plumbing, process piping, and fire protection contractor, has opened another Michigan location at 4684 Fraser Road in Monitor Township. One of the main reasons for Progressive Mechanical’s need for an additional location is that their business is booming. The company’s revenue increased more than 240% last year to $358.1 million from $105.2 million in 2022.

Charly Hosler, Executive Vice President at Progressive Mechanical, Inc. said that the company’s investment of over $2,500,000 in Monitor Township will go towards property acquisition, renovation of the building, equipment, and other upgrades in the 42,000 sq ft facility. “We were looking to bring some processes in-house and needed another location. Bay County has been so welcoming and has the talent we need to get up and run quickly,” said Hosler. Hosler believes the Monitor Township location will allow the company to hire 20-25 union employees from UA Local 85.

Terry Spencer, Supervisor, Monitor Township, said, “Charly and the team at Progressive Mechanical have been great to work with and we welcome them to our Monitor Township business community. We are excited to support all economic development projects that improve job growth in our community in any way we can. “

“We’re thankful Progressive Mechanical has chosen to locate in Bay County, and we look forward to witnessing the future growth of the company,” said Jim Barcia, Bay County Executive.

Bay Future President & CEO Jim Reaume added, “Hard work from Consumers Energy and the staff at Monitor Township have been instrumental in making this project go smoothly. Progressive Mechanical is a perfect fit for Bay County, and we look forward to helping them be happy and successful.”

Led by an uncle-nephew team with a family history grounded in hard work and dedication, Progressive Mechanical, Inc. is a full-service mechanical, plumbing, process piping & fire protection contractor specializing in the design, fabrication, and installation of mechanical processing and fire protection systems for industrial, commercial, institutional, and municipal markets. Randy and Charles Hosler acquired the company in 2006, after working their way up through the ranks of similar companies serving these industries.
