Automation Alley was proud to welcome back over 800 attendees for this year’s Integr8 conference on May 9. The event saw critical conversations take place around Industry 4.0 and its disruptive technologies among manufacturers, tech companies, government representatives, and academia.
Through Tech Talks, breakout sessions, keynote addresses, and industry-led roundtables, we tackled critical issues around advanced manufacturing. Additionally, our 3D Printing Pitch Competition featured five Michigan companies vying for a grand prize industrial-grade 3D printer with wraparound services from Markforged. The grand prize winner, Chicken Trampers, was selected by a panel of additive manufacturing experts. The company will utilize the 3D printer to support its production of hiking gear.
On the expo floor, over 75 booths kept things interactive with impressive displays of technology such as Oakland University Augmented Reality Center’s Corvette virtual reality system, Stratasys's Mobile Showroom for additive manufacturing, and MMTC’s Smart Manufacturing Zone. Project DIAMOnD, powered by Oakland County in partnership with Automation Alley, was also represented, with participating companies demonstrating the capabilities of distributed manufacturing and 3D printing in a statewide network.
Automation Alley will release recaps of Integr8 roundtables, videos of keynotes, and more within the coming weeks.
Thank you to all who attended.
