Mayor Karen Weaver and Congressman Dan Kildee hosted (re)IGNITION Flint MBK on Saturday, August 20 at U of M-Flint. President Obama launched the My Brother's Keeper Community Challenge in 2014 as a call to action for local leaders around the country to build and execute robust plans to ensure that all young people (and especially young boys and men of color)- achieve their full potential regardless of where they come from, or the circumstances into which they were born. The City of Flint previously joined the initiative and Mayor Weaver and Congressman Kildee are restarting the effort with a plan to move full speed ahead!
