Michigan-Based Brand Recognized on International Stage
(Detroit, Michigan – September 10, 2024) Michigan-based 8 Mile Vodka, produced by Detroiters Liquor LLC, has been awarded a Gold medal for Taste at the Singapore World Spirits Competition.
The Singapore World Spirits Competition is part of the Tasting Alliance, recognized as the world’s most influential organization for awarding outstanding beer, wine, and spirits. Originally highlighting spirits produced and consumed in the Asian Pacific, The Singapore World Spirts Competition has expanded to include brands from across the globe. This year, an international panel of judges sampled over 250 brands in a blind test to determine winners. The Gold Medal recognition bestowed on 8 Mile Vodka shines an international spotlight on its home city of Detroit.
This is the latest in a string of awards and recognition for 8 Mile Vodka, which has consistently impressed critics and consumers alike with its smooth taste and high quality. Last year, 8 Mile Vodka won the prestigious Masters medal in the Super Premium flight at the Vodka Masters 2023 in London. Prior to that, 8 Mile Vodka won two of the highest recognitions in the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (also hosted by The Tasting Alliance) for Best in Class: Vodka and Best of Class: Overall Vodka along with the Double Gold Medal Award for Taste and was also the 2022 MicroSpirits Liquor Association Triple Gold Winner. In 2021, 8 Mile Vodka brought home a Gold Medal from the 2021 Sip Awards International Spirits Competition for a “strong recommendation” judged in a double-blind tasting.
