Board of Directors Spotlight
BY Seth Perigo
Northern Michigan Regional President, Huntington Bank
I became involved with Bay Future after relocating to Michigan in 2019 for my role with Huntington Bank. As Regional President, one of my key responsibilities is supporting economic development in the communities we serve.
The present and future of this vibrant community matter deeply to me. I chose to bring my family to the Great Lakes Bay Region because I saw a community on the rise—and Bay Future is a driving force behind that transformation. Their impact was especially clear during the COVID pandemic, when they served as a vital link in supporting small businesses through grant funding and resources.
As a resident of Bay County, my family, which consists of my wife and two children love to enjoy the natural outdoor beauty. You will often find us riding our bikes on the various trails across the region or driving near the waterways in search of our favorite bird, the bald eagle.
I encourage others to connect with civic leaders, share their passions, and find ways to get involved. Economic development is a shared responsibility, and everyone can make a difference.
In partnership with Site Selection and on behalf of the State of Michigan, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is proud to present the Michigan Economic Development Guide.
This issue highlights the state’s ‘Make It in Michigan’ economic development strategy, which focuses on supporting People, Places, and Projects to drive economic growth throughout the state.
