Bay City, MI — Bay Future, Inc. announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Magen Samyn, President & CEO of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, to serve as Interim Executive Director effective February 1, 2026. Samyn will guide day‑to‑day operations and maintain organizational focus during the leadership transition.
“Magen brings a strong understanding of Bay County’s economic landscape, a proven ability to build partnerships, and steady leadership at a critical moment for our organization,” said Todd Gregory, Chair of Bay Future, Inc. “Her experience and collaborative approach will help ensure Bay Future remains focused on its mission while the Board thoughtfully considers the organization’s long‑term leadership needs.”
As the organization moves through this period of transition, Scott Nemode, Chair of the Personnel Committee, emphasized the Board’s commitment to stability, collaboration, and a strong path forward. “Bay Future, Inc. will continue its driven mission to lead Bay County with economic development, assist entrepreneurs and businesses, and continue our partnership with local municipalities to identify opportunities. Through our transition, we have the opportunity to leverage resources under the leadership of Magen Samyn and the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce. During this time, Bay Future, Inc. will be focused on exhausting all options presented to us to find our best permanent path forward.”
